Wondering where to stay near the San Francisco airport? Discover the 10 best San Francisco airport hotels. All of the accommodations on this list are within minutes of SFO.
Whether you're looking for luxury or cheap San Francisco airport hotels, you're sure to find the best SFO airport hotel for you in my top 10. I'll also tell you which are the best hotels near SFO with shuttle service.
Although the San Francisco airport is just a few miles south of the city, it's still a good idea to grab a hotel here for the night if you are on an early morning flight.
You might also consider them as a cheaper alternative to staying in the city. Some offer free parking, and others are close enough to public transportation that you can quickly get in and out of SF.
I pulled together this list of best hotels near the San Francisco airport based on location, current customer reviews, and overall value for your money.

The best hotels near the SFO airport are spread throughout an area that encompasses various small cities, including South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, and Burlingame.
This map shows you the location of the 10 best SFO hotels relative to the airport, which is outlined in orange on the map. All of these are safe hotels near the San Francisco airport.

If you plan to explore San Francisco during your stay, then I highly recommend booking a hotel right in the city.
Even though the San Francisco airport hotels will be less expensive (in most cases), you will find the fare and time needed to go back and forth to the city will cost quite a bit as well.
Our two most popular districts are Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. A large majority of the hotels are found in these neighborhoods and are set up well to help visitors from around the world discover our City by the Bay.
